Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift moved from Pennsylvania along with her parents to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to contacting label representatives from the country genre.
