Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for more than 20 years. Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love have gained her widespread popularity throughout the 21st century. Swift discovered a love for the arts at a very young age, and quickly moved through roles in the children's theater until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. In 2011, Swift, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Following that, she began to write her own music. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift moved from Pennsylvania along with her parents to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to contacting label representatives from the country genre.
